Mission: 

Alpha Kappa Alpha's mission has been to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of Service to All Mankind. The Alpha Gamma chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated was chartered on January 25, 1925 at the University of California, Los Angeles. The women of Alpha Gamma strive to perpetuate the mission of the organization through student led programs that embody the initiatives of the International President.
